WOCA Diamond Oil, Concrete Grey, 2.5L is used for oil finishing of wooden floors with floor machine. The oil ensures an extremely hard-wearing, dirt- and water-repellent surface. Diamond Oil is ideal for basic finishing of any unfinished, new and newly sanded interior woodwork. Content of the solvent is less than 5%. Floor machine is recommended for the polishing of bigger areas. Preparation: The unfinished woodwork should be freshly sanded with grit 100-120. The floor must be completely dry and free from dirt and grease before the oil application. Recommended wood-moisture max. 12 %. The oiling is made at min. 18° C. Ensure good ventilation at all times during the application and drying time. The floor can be cleaned with WOCA Wood Cleaner mixed with water 1:40 if necessary. Leave the floor to dry fully before oil application. Shake oil container well before and during use. Containers with different batch numbers should be mixed before use to avoid colour differences. WOCA Diamond Oil, Natural, 2.5L is used for oil finishing of wooden floors with floor machine. The oil ensures an extremely hard-wearing, dirt- and water-repellent surface. Diamond Oil is ideal for basic finishing of any unfinished, new and newly sanded interior woodwork. The content of the solvent is less than 5%. A floor machine is recommended for the polishing of bigger areas. Preparation: The unfinished woodwork should be freshly sanded with grit 100-120. The floor must be completely dry and free from dirt and grease before the oil application. Recommended wood-moisture max. 12%. The oiling is made at min. 18° C. Ensure good ventilation at all times during the application and drying time. The floor can be cleaned with WOCA Wood Cleaner mixed with water 1:40 if necessary. Leave the floor to dry fully before oil application. Shake the oil container well before and during use. Containers with different batch numbers should be mixed before use to avoid colour differences. Apply the oil with a short-haired paint roller in an even coat onto approx. 5-10 m2 of the floor. Leave the oil to be absorbed for 5-10 minutes. If dry spots appear, apply more oil. The area is now polished with a beige polishing pad under doodlebug or with a floor machine until the surface appears saturated. Polish the floor after using a cotton cloth under the floor pad to remove any possible excess oil. Continue stepwise till the whole floor has been polished. The floor should not appear wet and there should not be any excess oil left on the surface after polishing. After 6-8 hours, the floor should be dry-buffed with Extra White polishing pad. If a silk-mat surface is required, the finished floor may be buffed with 100 ml. of Diamond Oil to 10 m2 of the floor. This is done between 6-12 hours after the first application. The oil must be polished carefully into the floor. Remove any excess oil from the surface. After 24 hours the floor can be used with caution. Tools may be cleaned with WOCA Solvent. Do not expose the floor to water during hardening time – approx. 3 days depending on air temperature and moisture (ideally >18°C/64°F and low to moderate humidity). MAINTENANCE: After the hardening time, the floor should be cleaned regularly with Natural Soap or Oil Refresher, which leaves a protective layer on the surface. Re-oil with Maintenance Oil or Maintenance Paste when required. Risk of self-ignition: Due to the risk of self-ignition it is important that sanding dust and oil-wetted cloths are soaked in water and disposed of in a tightly closed container after use. Storage: Store out of the reach of children. Do not expose to heat (e.g. sunlight). Store frost-free. Disposal: Dispose of this material and its container to the local disposal facility for chemical waste. Declaration: Vegetable oil components, pigments (Extra White). Contains cobalt bis (2-ethyl hexanoate) 95%. VOC: This product contains a maximum of 45g VOC/L. The limit value is 500g VOC/L (cat. A/i).
