These instructions are from 3M for Optix acrylic --Special handling hints you should follow to ensure proper framing and maintenance and to prevent damage. --Both sides of the acrylic have a protective masking of polyethylene film. --Do not remove this protective masking until you are ready to insert in frame. Never slide panels over each other, a table, or other flat surfaces. This can remove the masking and expose the finished surface to damage, such as scratching. --Try to always handle the acrylic by the edges. --To remove any finger prints and to eliminate static buildup, use a weak solution of liquid dish washing detergent and warm water. This circa 1920's reclaimed barn wood frame is perfect for your favorite photograph or an oil painting of a field of flowers. Whatever it might be, a rustic barn wood picture frame is an exceptional way to highlight any new artistic piece, as well as, bring a piece of history into your home as these structures are quickly disappearing. These frames are authentic antique barn wood stripped by hand from out-of-use barns in the MS Delta and NOT the modern "weathered wood" that most are built out of or pallet wood. These are also heavier, thicker, and a wider face than most any other barn wood frame you will find for sale. They truly are a handcrafted work of art that will last for generations. These alluring frames adapt themselves to a number of modern decorating styles, featuring clean lines and neutral tones. Handcrafted from antique barn wood in the Mississippi Delta, they are their own history. Our frames have a 1" barn wood border and are constructed with fasteners on top of glue for additional strength. This vintage wood is a true 1" thick lumber, not the current day 3/4" thickness. The boards are painstakingly removed from out-of-use structures. Then all nails are removed and each board is cleaned by hand to remove excessive debris without removing personality and damaging decades worth of grain character. At this point, the board is processed and ready to become your own piece of artwork in your home. The result is a charming matted portrait without the additional expense of a matte with pre-attached hardware that is designed to hang in both the picture and landscape orientation, although by adding a matte, one size smaller picture may be used. No cut wood is visible. Rustic barn wood frames can be grouped together to create unique collages. Custom sizes, gallery walls, and finishes are available upon request. Please just Contact Seller to inquire. Please note: This rustic frame purchase includes the frame only with attached hardware (not the picture) .
This DIY Engineer Print Frame is probably one of the easiest projects I have done and it makes such a huge statement in a room!

Beautiful minimalistic floating photo frames. These frames are super unique and modern and look great in any room. They attach to the wall with command strips (these are included) so there is no need for any nail holes in your walls! We use magnetic strips to hold the photos in place which makes changing out your photos SO easy! These are meant to have a 1/2 overhang over the photo on each side. The frame is two separate pieces with a top and a bottom. When placing them on your wall you will want to start with the top and make sure it is level. **be sure to place the frame so that the command strips will be behind the photo so they do not show** Once the top is attached you will measure down the wall 1" shorter than the length of your photo and place the bottom part of the frame on the wall. (You need to keep 1/2" of the photo at the top and bottom to leave room for the magnet to hold on the the photo). We recommend the frame being about 1" longer than your photo (see sizing guide below) ***PLEASE NOTE WHEN ORDERING PHOTOS THAT THE TOP 1/2" AND THE BOTTOM 1/2" WILL BE COVERED BY THE FRAME. IF YOU HAVE A PHOTO THAT HAS SOMEONES HEAD TOO CLOSE TO THE TOP IT COULD GET PARTIALLY COVERED UP BY THE FRAME*** I do not recommend these being used for anything thicker than a standard photo print as the magnets used are not strong enough. Orders ship 4-6 business days after purchase. ----SIZING---- 9” - use for a 8"x10" vertical photo 12" - use for a 11"x14" vertical photo 13" - use for a 12"x18" vertical photo 17" - use for a 16"x20" vertical photo 21" - use for a 20"x30" vertical photo or a 20"x16" horizontal photo 25" - use for a 24"x36" vertical photo **PHOTO PRINT NOT INCLUDED** ----STAIN OPTIONS---- We are now offering different stain options. The stain color pictured in our listing is Early American.

Compounds are frames made by combining two or more moldings so as to achieve a wider and/or more complex frame design. Advanced framing, also called optimum value engineering (OVE), is a framing system that aims to pare the amount of lumber used to frame buildings to the bare minimum. Advanced framing was developed in the 1960s by the Department of Housing and Urban Development as a way for builders to reduce costs. In recent years, the decades-old framing system has been adopted by many green builders. These new advanced framing devotees are focused less on the cost-cutting aspects of the framing system than on its other virtues, including energy and materials savings.
