So if you read my earlier post I showed you how to make fabric Yo-Yo's. And if you need instructions on how to make the Yo-Yo's....click here http://textiletrolley.blogspot.com/2013/03/easy-sewing-project-how-to-make-yo-yo.html As promised here are some more ideas on how to use your Yo-Yo's Bookmarks! I'll show you a tutorial to make the full bookmark in a later post. Key Fobs! Just fold a piece of thick grosgrain ribbon in half, insert a key ring and stitch together near the end. Then insert it between your Yo-Yos before you stitch them all together. Greetings cards. I stuck this on with pretty strong glue that works for fabric and paper Cluster them together to adorn a bag. They would look great on an evening clutch to add some pop to your whole look Perfect on a jean jacket solo or clustered together The list goes on....here are a few other ideas that I didn't have time to put together... - String them together to make a garland to decorate a Christmas tree or your walls - Fabric art - use them as flowers on a canvas and decorate with leaves, stems etc similar to the card I made but on a larger scale....now that's a cheap way to add art to a room - attach to the top of a glass jar to make storage pretty...or cover a coffee tin with fabric and attach the Yo-Yo to the fabric - Small Yo-Yo's could cover the outside of a picture frame - Attach to a headband or barrette - Attach to a simple chain necklace, maybe 3 in a row hanging slightly to the side of centre. - Party up a simple pair of white sneakers (Children only please ;o)

So, lately I have been working on a few personal projects... well I always am! But I actually got one done before I started working on something new :)... yes, I am bad about working on hundreds of things at once. Here are some pics of my yo-yo purse...I made it up as I went along. I love it becasue it has a long strap so that I can wear on my shoulder across my hip. Next time I will take pics as I go so I can show you how to do it! (pics from my phone)
