Hey Everyone! I’m back with a fun new free pattern! This one has huge geometric vibes and I am obsessed with it. Fun fact: I actually wrote this pattern years ago and I can’t for the life of me remember why I never published it. With that being said I am so excited to finally share this with you all. Because the pattern is slightly repetitive it is the perfect weekend project to get lost in. You can also experiment with lots of color combo’s. I decided to go with a warm neutral palette for the pattern but I’ve also done a super colorful one. I’m think of doing one with a selection of creams and grays next. If you haven’t noticed yet I am a total sucker for neutrals. I am so excited to see what color combinations everyone comes up with because I swear that you guys are so much more color creative than I am. Happy Crocheting! You can use my Pinterest pin link by clicking here or the image below! You can purchase the Printable PDF on Etsy here! The PDF includes the complete step-by-step pattern so you can follow along on paper, highlighting and making notes as needed. It is a total of 11 pages, including the front and back cover pages. I’ve also included a PDF download of the chart for this pattern. Materials *5.00 mm Crochet Hook Weight 4 Worsted Weight Yarn (yarn I used is listed below) Dowel Rod or Tree Branch *Yarn Needle *Scissors Yarn Choice For most of my wall hanging patterns I prefer to use a thicker and tighter spun worsted weight yarn. I feel like it gives a lot more definition to the piece and details tend to stand out more. I really don’t focus too much on the texture of the yarn because I steam every single one of my wall hangings, which softens the piece and makes it more flexible and flowy. This is especially helpful for tighter crocheters. The brands I tend to gravitate the most towards are Red Heart Super Saver, Caron One Pound, Loops & Threads Impeccable and We Crochet Brava Worsted. *KNITCRATE: Get 1 free crate (you pay shipping) and 1 item in the shop for 20% off when you use my code LOVEANDSTITCH at checkout at knitcrate.com. For this wall hanging I used the following yarn: Loops & Threads Impeccable in Aran- approx. 150 yards Loops & Threads Impeccable in Gold- approx. 32 yards Loops & Threads Impeccable in Putty- approx. 32 yards Craft Smart Value in Ginger- approx. 32 yards Loops & Threads Impeccable in Soft Taupe- approx. 32 yards Loops & Threads Impeccable in Classic Gray- approx. 32 yards Stitch Key (US Terms) Ch = Chain St/sts = Stitch(es) Sc = Single Crochet Blo = Back Loop Only Color Abbreviations AR = Aran GO = Gold P = Putty G = Ginger ST = Soft Taupe CG = Classic Gray Special Notes -The wall hanging is worked in rows. -The wall hanging is worked from the bottom up. -The 1st st of each row should be placed into the same stitch as the turning chain. -The turning chain does not count as the 1st stitch of the row. -The wall hanging is worked in single crochet. -The pattern is written as: # of single crochet stitches (color abbreviation), example: 8 (AR) means 8 sc in the color Aran. -The odd rows are the right side rows. Even rows will be the wrong side. -This wall hanging is worked up using the cut and tie color changing method. To learn how to do a seamless color change click here! Dimensions: 16 inches wide x 14.5 inches long (not including fringe) Gauge: 15 sts x 18 rows = 4 inch square worked in single crochet. Back one more time today with a post for the Coffee Lover's Bloghop, Summer 2017 Edition! This time around, I'm using a Sweet Stamp Shop stamp set I just got in the mail... If you've been coming around here for a while, you may remember that I got this cool Coffee washi tape from The Sweet Stamp Shop a while ago and covered a 12x12 sheet of kraft cardstock with it. I used it on a card and saved the rest for future use... I was so happy I had it all ready to go today! And the washi is on sale and in the clearance section right now and you can find it here! And this cute pug and sentiment?? He was also in the clearance section on a very adorable set called Pug Life which is also on sale in the clearance section and you can get it here! It's so cute because there are a variety of expressions to choose from and a few bodies and lots of cute sentiments. The mug is from the Sweet Stamp Shop Coffee Town set and that little sun is a die from Craftin Desert Divas. I built this sentiment using a Coffee die from Your Next Stamp, the Hug In A Mug sentiment from MFT and I used one of the little Pug words from the Pug Life stamp set...I mean... I LOVE my coffee, but I wouldn't complain if you brought me a pug in a mug.. It made me giggle anyway... hope it had the same effect on you! Hope you'll play along with the Coffee Lovers Hop! I'll be back tomorrow with some Atlantic Hearts/Paper Sweeties/Coffee goodness!
