2D ART ROOMS SUITE 2D ART ROOM SUITE PLAN 2D Art Rooms notes: Entry to the 2D Art Suite would be through a gallery area. Gallery: Includes display cases on both sides of the entry Tackwall provided at the end. Drawing Studio: The Drawing Studio would be utilized for sketching and painting. Drawing benches and easels would be utilized and stored in this room Vertical storage cabinets are provided along the wall adjacent to the gallery display case. One sink is provided for any tool cleanup required . Interior windows into the adjacent 2D Art Room would be provided. Digital Media Room: Computer stations with specialty software would be set up around the perimeter of the room. Interior windows into the adjacent 2D Art Room would be provided A projector area would be provided along one of the walls for display and instruction 2D Art Rooms: The 2D Art rooms are set up identically. Table layout is shown for reference purposes only. These would be loose furnishings and not a part of the construction project (they may end up different than shown) It is likely that the suite would be placed on an exterior wall to provide windows into the 2D Art rooms. Peninsula sinks are provided to be used by groups if required. Tackwall is provided at the front of the room with Markerboard attached to it. Storage within the room would be for student projects Storage/Workroom: Access to the Storage/Workroom is from the 2D Art Rooms. A data and power connection would be located in the room so that it can be used as a teacher/department work area. Storage within the room would be for books and supplies, etc. 2D ART ISOMETRIC VIEW VIEW OF 2D ART ROOM 3D ART ROOMS SUITE 3D ART ROOMS SUITE 3D Art Room notes: Ceramics Rooms: The Ceramics rooms are set up identically (except for addition of exterior art storage room in one of the rooms). Table layouts are shown for reference purposes only. These would be loose furnishings and not a part of the construction project (they may end up different than shown) Rooms would be set up along exterior wall on first floor. Exterior access is provided for supply deliveries directly into the rooms. Markerwall will be located at the front of the room adjacent to the teacher's desk. Interior windows are provided from the room into the central shared function areas. Perimeter cabinets will be provided with peninsula sinks. Student projects storage area would be provided directly from the room. Teacher supplies storage would be provided through the Student Storage Rooms. Teacher supplies storage would be shared between the two Ceramics Rooms. Wheel Room: The central Wheel Room would be utilized by both Ceramics Labs. Interior windows from the Wheel Room into both labs would be provided. Blinds/shades would be provided for privacy when required. The room will be designed to house 16 potters wheels down the center of the room. A low wall will be provided between the 2 sides to allow for students to store their materials etc. The openings to the Wheel Room would utilize barn doors (hanging sliding doors attached to the walls that would pass in front of the wall). These doors will allow the openings to the Wheel Room to be wide open without negatively affecting the visibility into the room. The panel to the doors would be a markerboard panel that could be utilized for instruction purposes. Glazing Room: This room would be accessed from both classrooms. Windows would be provided into the room for supervision purposes. Base cabinets with a counter and sink would be provided along one wall in the room Kiln Room: This room would be accessed from both classrooms. The room would accommodate at least 2 kilns Direct exhaust from the room will be provided 3D ART ROOMS SUITE VIEW OF CERAMICS ROOM
