If you've never experienced sunsets on the OBX, you're missing out. It's something that is totally indescribable. The colors that the sky takes on looks
A few weekends ago, Grace, Morgan, Brittany, and I (a few fabulous bloggers that I know) took a trip over to the Outer Banks of NC. I've always heard nothing but great things about OBX and I am so happy to say that I've FINALLY been! It's exactly what I've expected and more! There's seriously nothing better than waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the shore and having a cup of coffee while watching the beautiful sunrise. Let's just say that the OBX is much more than the usual vacation destination, it's a place to fully relax, unwind...and maybe even do a little outdoor recreation! Yes, us fashion bloggers got our hands dirty and experienced some of the best things to do while on the beach... (Get my sweater here) Day ONE, hang gliding... We hiked up the sand dunes of Jockey's Ridge with Kitty Hawk Kites to take our first hang-gliding lesson. It was such a fun experience, and it was also quite the work out, haha! After learning our new hidden hang gliding talents, we grabbed a bite to eat at one of the famous little diners around---Tortugas Lie. OMG, this place was thriving with delicious meals! We all had something different, and of course had to pick off each other's plates, lol. Later on... Once we all freshened up, we celebrated our first successful day with a glass of wine (of course!). After, we then ate dinner at Cafe Pamlico. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant and definitely loved the tasty specialty drinks that we had! Yummy! At dinner, I had a tasty Caesar Salad with a cup of Crab and Corn Bisque. So so good! (Cafe Pamlico) Day TWO... Horseback riding on the beach with Equine Adventures! By far, this was our favorite outdoor activity! I rode horses competitively back in 5th (or 6th) grade, and really hadn't ridden one since. So it was nice to get back in the saddle and tap into my horse riding capabilities! So if you have gone horseback riding before or if it would be your first time, I HIGHLY suggest doing this! It's not everyday that you get to ride a horse on the beach! (My Billabong Fringe Poncho is from the Real Watersports Shop) (Taylor Swift may have #SquadGoals, but not like us...#HorseSquad) Our last evening... Before we headed to dinner at Pangea Tavern, we got a special spa treatment at Koru Spa-Salon, where I got one of the BEST stone massages! I literally felt so chill and relaxed right after it, I almost felt like a new person, lol! After, we stopped at a gorgeous beach rental that was right on the sound facing the sunset. We arrived there right on time to see it! It was absolutely beautiful! And yes, we ended up taking our last set of outfit shots there by the dock, haha! It was such a bittersweet moment though too, since this would be our last full day here. Overall, we had an amazing blogger getaway to the Outer Banks! And I know we were all sad to leave such a beautiful place, but we will always share those great memories and hope to visit again soon! ----------------------- Thank you so much to the amazing Outer Banks team for giving us a one of a kind experience here at the OBX! And special thanks to Martin for putting up with us gabbing girls, lol! Also, huge thanks to Outer Beaches Reality for our stay at the Southern Belle Beach House.
