This is the New Inn at Blists Hill Victorian Town near Ironbridge in Shropshire. This pub was formerly located on the corner of Green Lane and Hospital Street, in Birchills, Walsall. The New Inn was taken down brick by brick, and rebuilt at Number 11 High Street, Blists Hill between 1981 and 1982. There were quite a few pubs in the Birchills area originally, presumably serving the workers in the many metal working firms in the locality. Green Lane was also on the trolleybus route from Walsall to Bloxwich. I can remember my father taken me to Birchills to watch the pub been dismantled, prior to being moved to the museum. Yesterday, February 20th 2010 was the first time that I have ever set foot inside.
