Dedicated to Grace Patricia Kelly Grimaldi (1929-1982), American actress and Princess consort of Monaco, and her family
I've been anxiously waiting for the movie, Grace of Monaco, with Nicole Kidman portraying Princess Grace, to be released in the U.S., but with all the negative reviews in Europe, the disapproval of Monaco's Royal Family, and Weinstein Company's pledge to make changes before releasing it here, who knows when that will be. I wanted to spend yesterday afternoon watching the 1956 movie, High Society, which was Grace Kelly's last movie before marrying Prince Rainier, III of Monaco [also in 1956], but the local video store didn't have it. ~ Beautiful Grace Kelly in High Society ~ [Internet Photo] Instead I watched Pierre Salinger's ABC 20/20 interview with Princess Grace just three months before her tragic death in September 1982. What a lovely lady, and guess what? She was a tea drinker! ~ Below she's having tea with some of her friends in 1955 ~ [Internet Photo] ~ Taking a tea break with Alfred Hitchcock on the set of To Catch a Thief in 1955 ~ [Internet Photo] ~ Sharing a cup of tea with Danny Kaye ~ [Internet Photo] [Internet Photo] [Internet Photo] ~ Having tea in Hollywood with Frank Sinatra in 1958 ~ [Internet Photo] [Internet Photo] Rest in peace, Princess Grace! I'll look forward to writing a review on Grace of Monaco when it's released in the U.S. Wonder if there'll be some tea scenes?
