Laundry Detergent Makeover | Laundry Detergent Makeover #falldecor #fallvibes | By Designs by Dina | Hello everyone. Today we're going to make over a Gain Pod Laundry Detergent Pod container and it's nice and bright green of course but we I already put one coat of undercover primer from Paint Pixie on it so that the paint and all would stick well. So and here is a piece of that specialty paper from the Hop Lobby that just has such a pretty embossing on it and so I cut it out and I mod podged it on there and then now we're just going to paint over it and the color we're using is sandstone and that is a Waverly chalk paint. It's just a good it's kind of a grayge color again. So, I love it. It's a great neutral color and so I do in up doing about three coats of the paint but I'm didn't want you to have to watch all of that so I did edit that part out and so we're going to give it a quick dry and this was a project I didn't think would take very long but it ended up taking me a lot longer because of the coats but I did not peel off all the labels and all that because I knew I could cover the front part first of all with the paper and then the back I figured it be better if I left it on so it'd be smoother. So now that all the painting is done, now comes the decorating. So I've got some Spanish moss that I got from the Dollar Tree and I'm going to just kind of put that and piece that together up at the top. Just kind of hiding the lid part of that container. So I'm going to go all the way around. And then I remembered I to put my stem in and I already had all my so I make a little hole there for my stem and the stem is just a wooden candle holder that is from the wood pile section from Hobby Lobby it was one that was left over because you know it comes five in a bag and usually if you're doing a riser of any kind you only need four so that was my leftover piece so I'm making use of it and I paint it statuary which is a metallic paint from Paint Pixie and I'm just hot gluing it in there. I'm going to hold it down for just a second and now I get to put all the florals and all the pretty prettiness on it and so here I'm just trying to figure out my game plan here. Honestly, when I started this, I had no game plan. I just knew I wanted it to be have some florals on the top and put that specialty paper on the front and paint it kind of a neutral color because everybody's doing the oranges and I have two but I wanted to add a little something so I'm just adding these pieces on there it's a pick that I got from Michael's all of this is Michael's and I'm just adding all these little pieces just filling in all the holes and then I'm going to get this back side here I'm going to also cover all that up too in the back so here I am working on the back and just adding more of the those little pieces and then I realized I forgot I wanted to put my greenery in there. I should have started with the greenery but that's okay. I can still stick it in wherever it needs it and that's what I do here. So, I'm just chopping all those little pieces and trying to get em in smaller pieces so that I can put em where I want em where the the spots that I feel are little bear needs a little bit of greenery. Kinda break up all the yellow and all that other stuff on there. So and it's working good. And then I decide I don't really like all that Oh what is that stuff called? I don't know if it's like a corn husk or if it's supposed to just be raffia but I took it out. I cut it out. So now we're going to use the good old rub and buff on that front texture just to bring out the design of that specialty paper. And you just barely use it on your fingers and just kind of spread it all over. And you'll just be able to see all those areas a whole lot better. It's kind of hard to see here. I see now watching it back but you'll be able to see at the end. So now comes the time for Medina's bow. You know I have to have a bow. So this is fabric that I got from Hobby Lobby. And I am just tearing it and I'm going to make a bow out of that. And getting all the loose strings off. And then I decide I want some silk in there so I grab me some of that and with the bow dabra I put my string down and then I'm just weaving it back and forth and using all the fabric that I have there and just going to make my bow out of that I didn't want one really big or I just wanted a good simple bow then I grab some that crochet lace and add that to it as well and I'm going to fluff it and tie it off and then I'm going to attach it to the pumpkin and I just think it adds so much to it. Just kind of breaks it up. Just breaks up all that white. So then, I'm looking for a button. So, I found me a brown button and I'm going to put that there and I think it turns out so sweet. Thank you all for watching. I hope you guys will decide to join Designs by Dina and y'all have a blessed day.
