Flat Stanley is a favorite project of mine, but the generic "flats" that are normally sent out just don't cut it for me. I want students to feel like they've actually been to the places their flats visit, so we make THEM flat instead! This resource lays out everything you need to know to implement this fun project into your classroom! Here is what you get: step-by-step directions with photos on how to make and assemble the flats along with how to put the packages together - you won't miss a thing! a parent letter for obtaining host addresses a host letter that outlines everything they need to know about 'traveling' with the flats two posters to show students how to address an envelope and how to write a letter (in case you would like the students to do this part) a world map and U.S. map for students to track where their flats have visited Since this project uses student photos instead of the generic flat picture, you will need a few extra supplies such as a camera, color printer and cardstock. Please check the materials list in the attached preview. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I did! ***LET'S CONNECT!***
