Teach your students some COOL TRICKS IN GOOGLE SLIDES! PERFECT for GOOGLE MEETS, ZOOM, or FACE to FACE LEARNING! Since we seem to be moving toward remote/ distance learning, it is important that the students learn how to use all the tools Google provides so they can apply their new learning in Google Classroom with the assignments you will be sending them. Although you can use this presentation alone, student understanding will increase if you use The Google Slides Toolbar (Cool Text) AND the Google Slides Insert Menu in advance. (Click on the names of the products to take a peek.) This presentation was created to give you an engaging, fun, and informative session of allowing students to experiment with all of the features you find in Google Slides. It is perfect for Distance Learning AND At-School Learning from second grade students to fifth grade students or even for REVIEW in higher grades! (Kindergarten and first grade students would need teacher support.) Parents can use these as well in order to learn how to navigate through the technology part of learning at home. It is very easy to use this presentation. Just go to your Google Classroom, CREATE AN ASSIGNMENT, MAKE A COPY FOR EACH STUDENT, and ASSIGN it! You can also use this on your INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD and go through the slides step-by-step. (Older/ gifted students will be able to do this independently!) In addition, you can insert these slides into the "material" section of Google Classroom to use as a reference throughout the year. The presentation begins by reviewing vocabulary taught in the first two presentations mentioned above. The students learn about the meaning of the words insert, menu, resizing and toolbar, and then I introduce them to their new BFF, the UNDO button! After that, the slides are patterned by TEACHING slides that explain a COOL TRICK and then a "CREATING" slide with instructions. The presentation ends with "Go Crazy" pages! Students will practice all of their new skills and apply their learning. COOL TRICKS ADDRESSED: COOL TRICK #1: The disappearing toolbar. Students learn why the toolbar disappears and what to do in order to see it again. (This is an area of HUGE frustration when I don't take the time to show them this trick.) COOL TRICK #2: Background (color/ insert image/ camera) COOL TRICK #3: Hyperlinking (websites/ slides within the presentation) COOL TRICK #4: Bulleted/ numbered lists COOL TRICK #5: Adding/ duplicating slides COOL TRICK #6: Redo button COOL TRICK #7: Ordering (layering) images and text COOL TRICK #8: Slide transitions COOL TRICK #9: Animations of text and objects COOL TRICK #10: Spell check There are 28 teaching slides and 24 creating slides. Students learn how to use each feature and then they try it. At the end of the presentation, they complete the "Go Crazy" slides where they show you what they have learned. Students can perfect these skills each week by using the Google Slides presentation, SPELLING CREATIONS. You give them their new word list for the week, and the kids will make their spelling words look very cool using the information they learned in: Part 1 - Cool Text Version Part 2 - The Inserting Menu Part 3 - Cool Tricks for Google Slides Thank you for your purchase!
