Ha! HIGHER LEVEL STUDENTS: Require TEXTUAL evidence in most elements within the projects Assign more than one and have it be a larger project that could be mounted to a poster board Have the higher level students teach or share their findings to the middle to low performing students in small groups Have them create a project for to separate pieces and then ask them to complete a write up on how the two pieces compare. Expect in-depth connections, and additional illustrations in all aspects of the projects These can be more of a take home project for the higher level students as well Create multiple lattes or sushi plates each addresses a particular aspect of the novel/piece Create multiple guacamole projects (such as a literary analysis booklet and a quote journal booklet) for the same piece (MY FAVORITE**) Create a small group activity where students each complete a different type of project individually, then they come back together and share their findings. They then are expected to complete an essay, informal writing assignment, collage or poster project of their "best" connections discussed by their group. In this way, they have multiple chances to comprehend the deeper connections. _______________________________________________________________ Looking for exit tickets and bell ringers? ★ Check out our TICKETS and BELL RINGERS!
