Make the most of your personal assistant- Alexa in the classroom. Having an Amazon Alexa in the classroom is a total game changer! I was SO excited when I was gifted an Amazon Echo Dot for Christmas for my classroom. My kids and I quickly found a BUNCH of things that Alexa could do to help us during the day. These fun and easy to use commands are broken up into four categories by ABC order: Everyday skills, Brain Breaks & Games, and Strange & Fun Sounds. Also included is a list of our favorite skills that must be enabled. Speaking of enabled... You will find (and discover) that many skills must be enabled from your Amazon app. Finding and enabling them are easy. Screen shots are included to help you navigate the screens. There are asterisks by our favorite skills that must be enabled. Helpful Tips: Make sure to set some ground rules with Alexa. Ours are pretty simple: 1. You can only talk to Alexa if you have permission. 2. Only one person at a time can talk to her. 3.You must speak slow and clearly.
