Some penguin classic covers I made of some of my favorite books.
Penguin books is to add another 46 Little Black Classics to the collection released last year, with lots of new titles and some surprising additions.
Fancy picking up a paperback for 80p? Erm, of course you do! To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Peguin Books, the iconic publishing house has released 80 mini paperbacks for 80p each. Each of the Little Black Classic books features the traditional Penguin cover in a sleek black and white colour palette but with the added bonus of a numbered spine. Remember when you were little and you'd try to collect all the Mr Men books to match up the spines? It's like that for grown ups! The books have been selected from a range of classic authors, from Dante^ to Charles Darwin^, and are around 50 pages long each. In many cases, the books are extracts or essays from longer texts available with Penguin, so they're a great way to get a taster of those books you've always meant to read. For me, this is the perfect opportunity to try some Chaucer^, Dostoyevsky^ and Brontë^ without committing to full texts. You can see the whole list of books here and buy them on Amazon here. I bought 15 this month and hope to buy some more come pay day. They're just so cute and pretty! How can you say no? ^Post contains affiliate links
