It's Tuesday, your good news day! In searching for inspiration for a new string, I glanced up at the cork board above my desk to see a picture my granddaughter, Pauline, drew on her last visit. It was just what I needed! Here is our string inspired by Pauline's artwork ~ IAST 205 String by Adele Bruno, CZT The tangles we will use this week include: Pauline's Pigtail - one of my tangles Since Pauline is my inspiration for the string, how could I not choose her tangle this week? I first published it almost four years ago - how time flies! Shard by Carole Ohl This is an angular and more random tangle than Shattuck. They should be interesting to use together on the same tile. Shattuck by Maria Thomas Some of the examples of Shattuck feature the arcs mirroring each other. I find that the pattern is just as beautiful when they are randomly placed. You may want to try it both ways and decide for yourself. Simply pencil the string line onto your tile and tangle away! Keep in mind that string lines are suggestions and let the patterns lead the way.
