Virtual Sheet Music® Premium High-Quality digital sheet music for violin and cello, book I and II, IMPORTANT: This item doesn't include separate parts. Both instruments have to read from the same part in a way that when the first part reaches the bar marked with “Canon,” the second part starts playing; then both parts keep playing together a few bars apart until the end of the piece, hence the resulting “Canon. Really glad there was this "transcription for violin and cello" version already transposed to use for my Oboe to play with the "for two flutes (or two recorders)" version, that my Clarinetist or Tenor Sax friends can play with me. When I am playing Clarinet with them, we use "the transcription for two Clarinets". Noticed there are #4-6 Sonatas also included in the "for two flutes (or two recorders)" version. Any chance of adding #4-6 also to the "transcription for violin and cello" please? Guess the cover sheets then would have to be renamed "6 Canonic Sonatas", lol We all enjoy playing these first 3 Sonatas. Thank you very much Wendy (Oboe/Clarinet) I've copied Book I and Book II to play with my cello friend as warm ups before working on a Mendelssohn trio we will perform soon. These sonatas are perfect for this purpose. The pages are clean and easy to read. Thank you very much. I bought this music to play with a cellist friend who has not played for awhile! It was a winner! We reinforced good intonation playing in unison and honed counting skills to succeed in finishing at the right time! The clarity and charm of the music was refreshing and my friend and I are set to meet again weekly to play more together! Hooray!
