This resource is in the growing Algebra II Mild, Medium, Hot Exit Tickets Bundle! This resource was utilized as closing activity to differentiate for my students using the mild, medium, hot mentality (see the book Building Thinking Classrooms by Peter Liljedahl) for students to work on their appropriate levels. Students determine which level they would like to demonstrate their knowledge on, which can change each day. This enables them to develop their metacognitive skills and really think about their understanding of the lesson. This resource is entirely editable in case you combine lessons, have lessons in a different order than myself, or just want to change a problem here/there to best suit your students. Mild - basic understanding of the lesson; grasps core concept Medium - developing deeper understanding of content; some applications of understanding Hot - mastery of topic How I Used This: This was used in a resource room setting. I kept track of my students' points in a Google Sheet. As long as the exit was completed, it would be full credit for participation (classwork grade) for the day. The points would be used towards "class currency," which can be cashed in for extra credit, a homework pass, etc. (up to your discretion). What lessons are included? 1. Simplifying Rationals 2.
