Repeat Positive Affirmation Positive affirmations are one of the most effective ways to improve your attitude by replacing a negative, with a more positive one. [spacer height=”40px”] As part of our morning routine every day we recite affirmations out loud to ourselves, like “I am CEO of my mind” or “I am in control of my life.” [spacer height=”40px”] The great thing about positive affirmations is that, when practiced on a consistent basis, they can cancel out the negative thoughts that play out in your mind, which enables you to feel more in control of your life. [spacer height=”40px”] You need to ensure that you choose the right affirmations for the intentions that you want to manifest. When practicing affirmations, we suggest that you look in the mirror and repeat them out loud. [spacer height=”40px”] By doing this, you are not only repeating the words but you can actually see yourself saying it causing your subconscious to believe, it’s amazing how fast your mood can change or improve. Trust us, it works! [spacer height=”40px”] When you feel an anxious thought coming your way, say an affirmation out loud to yourself. This is how to stop negative thoughts right away. By redirecting your thoughts and imprinting positive messages in your mind, over time those negative thoughts will become few and far between. 2. Surround Yourself with Positive People We found out that who you spend time with is who you become. As we mentioned earlier, we started to change our surroundings to help get rid of negative thoughts. [spacer height=”40px”] If you hang out with negative people who are drama queens and energy vampires, you will end up modeling their behavior. Stay far away. [spacer height=”40px”] Negative energy is draining. It affects every area of our lives. [spacer height=”40px”] Research has shown that people who cultivate negative energy experience more stress, more sickness and experience less opportunity over the course of their lives than those who choose to live positively. [spacer height=”40px”] It is very difficult to become positive when the people around you don’t operate in that same vibe. Step back and ask yourself, “Are my friends uplifting me or bringing me down?” If the answer is yes, it’s time to find new friends. [spacer height=”40px”] Cutting out the negative people in our lives is one of our most effective ways we were able to stop negative thoughts before they even start. [spacer height=”40px”] Make room for positivity. A solid group of positive friends can inspire you to achieve your goals and dreams. 3. Never Play the Victim When negative things happen it can be easy to fall into victim mode. When people play the victim, they blame others and the world for their problems. When we engage in self-pity all we see are problems. [spacer height=”40px”] Negativity feeds on the game, and there is no hope of finding a silver lining. [spacer height=”40px”] Yes, life isn’t always fair. Bad things happen, but it’s our responsibility to rise above our circumstances and become the CEO of our lives. Do you want to be the victim or the hero of your story? [spacer height=”40px”] When you choose to take responsibility for your life, it immediately shifts your mindset from one that is disempowering to one that is empowering. 4. Don’t Take Life So Seriously Our busy lives, long to-do lists, and crazy work schedules can feel all overwhelming at times, making us feel like we are on auto-pilot. [spacer height=”40px”] We forget how important it is to relax, laugh, smile, spend time with your family and not take life so seriously. [spacer height=”40px”] Becoming more positive means giving yourself a break, celebrating your accomplishments, and letting yourself off the hook when you screw up. Mistakes happen. [spacer height=”40px”] Life is too short. Why spend it being serious all the time? Loosen up and enjoy every day to the fullest! [spacer height=”40px”] When you can learn how to laugh at yourself and not become so consumed with perfection you will become much happier. As the saying goes, Work hard, but play harder. 5.
