Hi creative friends! Monique Lowe here sharing a new Happy Haven layout! I am absolutely loving using this exquisitely pretty collection! To start, I used a border punch along with a variety of Happy Haven patterned papers (including a pretty pink and orange floral paper from the Project Pad) and got busy punching lots of border strips. I layered them together and stuck them down in rainbow order, filling an entire 12x12 sheet of white cardstock. Then I used a craft knife to cut a circle from the middle and put the remaining 12x12 border piece aside for a later project. I then added hand stitching to the edge of the circle for extra texture. For my background, I used the circle to draw a light outline onto a sheet of white mixed media cardstock. Using this outline as a guide, I swiped Distress Oxides outwards in coordinating shades, then dabbed a little water with a paintbrush to create a soft watercolor effect. Once dry, I stuck down the circle using foam squares to give it some dimension. I backed my photo with Paper 1 and Paper 4 and cascaded Floral Die Cuts from top to bottom, slightly off-center, and overlapped the photo for a whimsical feel. A Foam Sticker made the perfect title and I finished off my page with Journaling Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers, and a few Mini Puffy Stickers for added interest. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope this layout inspires you to dive into your Happy Haven stash and get creative too!
