This is a fluency worksheet to help students practice finding the volume of rectangular prisms using the LxWxH formula. All figures are unlabeled but filled with unit cubes, so students must first find the length, width, and height by counting the cubes, and then they can solve. There are a total of 12 problems and each one includes blanks to record each measurement. This worksheet works especially well in helping students make connections between their understanding of counting unit cubes to find volume and using a formula to find volume! Fits standard 5.MD.C.5b -- Apply the formulas V = L × W × H and V = B × H for rectangular prisms to find volumes of right rectangular prisms with whole-number edge lengths in the context of solving real world and mathematical problems.
