Screens made of galvanized steel are solid, yet lightweight and are protected by reliable powder coating, ensuring that they will stand the test of time. Galvanized steel + plus powder coating is currently one of the best available options on the market for protecting METAL products from weather conditions. It’s effective for fencing in premises that require tough barriers or security, such as industrial or commercial settings. We also recommend to order steel products rather aluminum if you concern about sharp edges. Steel parts typically come off the laser cutter with edges that are already smooth compared to aluminum. We also do a quality inspection of all of our products prior to shipping them out to make sure there are no sharp edges. Screens made of aluminum protected by powder coating do not rust and built to withstand the harshest weather conditions. The drawback to aluminum is that it is a soft material, so it’s not as effective for fencing that require tough barriers or security. Aluminum screens weighs approximately 1 pound per square foot depending on screen design. However, it is best used for aesthetic purposes, such as residential garden, yard or pool fencing. Its resistance to corrosion makes it the ideal choice for seaside or waterside homes in particular. Please note that aluminum may have sharp edges due to laser cutting, while laser cutting of galvanized steel is smooth and safe. We deburr the sharp edges of laser cut panels/screens by grind away burrs with a ceramic disc. However, laser cut aluminum screens are decorative and are not for the children’s use and are not designed to be climbed on by children, adults or any other live beings. Do you do Custom-Sized Orders? Absolutely! Feel free to send us a message with your measurements, design, color, and ZIP code. We will be able to calculate the total cost of your product and the shipping cost. Keep in mind that larger screens will have disproportionately high shipping costs. If you are looking to get a particularly large screen we heavily recommend you consider purchasing multiple smaller pieces that can be assembled with the 90-degree folded edges we provide. Do you do Custom Designs? Absolutely! We have a talented team of designers that work around the clock to bring your ideas to life. We can convert any of our designs found on our website into any product, or work with any reference material you send us for the purpose of your project. Best of all, we would do this free of charge! We do however ask that a customer pays a 50% deposit fee of the manufacturing cost prior to beginning any design work. If you do have a custom design please also include the intended measurements, color, and ZIP code in your message to us. How long does an order take to manufacture and arrive at my front door? Once the details of your custom order have been discussed and the total cost of the custom order is paid, the screens will enter a 3 – 4 weeks manufacturing period and then will be shipped for a 1 week shipping period. If you are purchasing a standard size straight off of the store page then your screen(s) enter the 3 – 4 weeks manufacturing period immediately. You will receive a tracking code by email when your order is dispatched. How would I install a Privacy Screen? Each screen comes standard with mounting holes around the perimeter. The number of holes is determined by the length of screen that is purchased. This means that they can be screwed into nearly any surface. Alternatively, the screens can and often are framed in wood if you are looking for a stationary and sturdy privacy screen. Unfortunately we do not. The needs of every single project vary greatly and it would be impossible to have a single set of installation hardware (screws, nails, ect) that suits every single project. For this reason we do not supply installation hardware. I have additional changes that I need made to the privacy screen, how can you help? As all of our products are made from scratch, we are very flexible in this regard. If you need anything please let us know but try and be as clear or concise as possible. If you need the help of sketches or images to convey the specifications of your projects feel free to sent them to us. Can I track my package? Once your package has been shipped you will receive a notification with the tracking number to your email. If you have a problem and can not track the package please don’t hesitate to contact us. At the time of delivery, signatures are required to receive our product to avoid lost/stolen packages. However, you can contact UPS to schedule a convenient date and time for your shipment to avoid having your package sent back to us. If packages can’t be delivered, and get returned to us, shipping will not be covered. Customer will be responsible for the 2nd shipment. * This product was designed and is made in Canada, using materials produced in the US or Canada. Return Policy and Shipping: * Please report any damage to item(s) shipped within 3 days of receipt. * We provide refunds but ask that the buyer contacts us within 7 days of delivery, require that the buyer pays return shipping, and charge a 20% re-stock fee. * If you need to cancel your order, note that if you do not make this request prior to any laser-cutting work on our part, you will still be charged a 20% restocking fee. * Sorry, we do not accept returns or cancelation for custom orders. * All packages s are fully insured for damage or lost. Customer is responsible to filing a claim to UPS for damage or lost package. If the package is lost you will be refunded or we will ship it again. * The customer is responsible for any brokerage fees incurred when items cross the Canada to US border. * All our packages are signature required.
