This rare Spode Blue Italian beaker by Copeland makes for a stylish addition to your table setting, collection or shelf décor. It was originally sold individually for use as a drinking vessel or as part of a three-piece (one basin, two beaker) washing set, residing in a purpose-made wooden wash table slot or freestanding. Dating back to 1816, the illustrious Blue Italian pattern is based on themes of ancient Italy, blended together from a selection of architecture and scenery from local regions of the country at this time. The composition of scenes effortlessly merge together to form the classic picture, gracefully decorated by the rolling Imari border taken from Japanese porcelain. Date mark: None.
