Adding & Subtracting Polynomials (including perimeter) I use this worksheet in my Algebra classroom, when working with students on combining like terms, but this is when we start calling expressions monomials, binomials, trinomials etc. This worksheet makes sure that the students are able to distribute a negative sign in front of a parentheses, and then combine like terms with positive and negative coefficients. The final part of the worksheet has the students finding the perimeter of 6 different shapes. And then a word problem where the students have to draw a picture of a rectangular picture frame themselves and then find the perimeter of the frame. I have posted two other polynomial worksheets that I use along with this one: Multiplying Polynomials (including area) & Polynomial Practice Word Problem Please check them out to go along with this worksheet.
