Have you ever heard of Jin Shin Jyustu? It's actually an ancient Japanese form of touch therapy that operates under the belief that each finger is connected to different organs, emotions and attitudes. The belief is that you can perform Jin Shin Jyustu on yourself by stimulating meridians in your hands to help balance energy and emotions. The technique is very simple. All you need to do is check the chart above to decide which are to focus on. Then hold the corresponding finger based on the emotion you want to calm or organ you want to heal for 3-5 minutes while taking deep breaths. According to a study done at the Markay Cancer Center, patients who underwent this kind of therapy were able to note positive benefits, including reduced stress and nausea, and less restlessness.
