◾️Here is something I say multiple times per day while in clinic talking to patients. ◾️It can be difficult to understand….why treating some muscles lift the brows and why treating other muscles lower the brow. ◾️This has to do with the function of the muscle. ◾️The forehead muscle or frontalis for instance is the only muscle that is responsible for lifting and elevating the brows. ◾️When a neuromodulator like Botox or Dysport is placed in this muscle it temporarily keeps it from lifting and therefore brows may lower as a result. ◾️The opposite happens when treating the glabella or brow lines and orbicularis oculi (muscle that around the eyes).
