Online Quilting Bee Block 4 We are now on Block 4! If you missed block 3, you can get instructions for it here: Online Quilting Bee Block 3 For more information, you can head to the main Quilt Along webpage and it will outline all the details. Scroll down below the video for fabric requirements. This month, we are learning one of our absolute favorite blocks, Half Square Triangles. HST’s can easily be used to make an entire quilt top. There are endless ways to lay them out and create a unique quilt top. If you want more information on how to construct half square triangles in different sizes, we’ve created a blog post dedicated specifically to them. Half Square Triangles For this month’s block, we will be making half square triangles 2 ways. We will use the 2 at a time and 8 at a time method. These are our favorite ways to make them, as they don’t leave any bias edges that we have to watch. There are LOTS of little blocks that we will be putting together though. Find a nice spot to lay it all out to help keep things sewn together in the right place. Each block will finish at 18″. The final quilt will be about 64×84″. Fabric Requirements: There are 2 different options for this quilt, make the sampler, consisting of 12 different blocks, or make a quilt of just this block, repeating it 12 times.
