The ercol Kensworth coffee nest of tables is a modern, convenient pair of tables, sitting at right angles to each other to offer a variety of options. This large high-quality coffee table was designed and manufactured during the 1950s by Lucian Randolph Ercolani, the founder of Ercol. Lucian Ercolani drew his inspiration from the local design and traditional craft in the area around High Wycombe in England, where he built his first factory in 1920. This early model table from Ercol features an oval table top made from solid stained ash. Its elegant frame of stained solid beech has tapered legs and spindles which are constructed as a lower storage shelf for books and magazines. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution less

The nest was designed in the mid 1950’s by ercol’s founder Lucian Ercolani, the coffee table is a larger stand alone or combination piece that offers a simple and distinctive design which reflects the design heritage of this piece. Available in a choice of wood finishes and now ercol have partnered with Grown in Britain (GiB) to be able to offer this table in solid British-certified ash.

Vintage 1960s Ercol coffee table with magazine rack. This table has a solid elm top and solid stained beech base. It is in very good vintage condition with the top having been stripped of it's stain, varnished and waxed, allowing the beauty of the natural elmwood to be exposed. The stained based has not been stripped, but has been cleaned and waxed, to contrast with the top.
