A couple months ago, I shared that I wanted to make an IKEA LATT Table for Mason. I made an inspiration board for what I wanted it to look like, we bought the table, put it together, and finally painted it. And I love it. But there's still more that I want to do with it to make it fully functional for Mason. I haven't quite figured out how I want to make it into a Lego table, so we started with adding parts to make it into an art table. I found a blog that gave us really good inspiration and instructions as well as a couple pictures off Pinterest and Seth went to work. It actually ended up being a lot easier than I anticipated (like his Home Depot trip was actually longer than it took him to put the pieces together). We basically just got a dowel (that we cut down to fit the table), some "J" hooks, some screws, and the paper roll. Seth attached the "J" hooks with the screws and then cut the dowel down to fit the table, put the paper roll on the dowel, and hung the dowel on the hooks. It was pretty much that easy! As soon as Mason woke up from his nap, we let him test out the table. He was so excited! Kid tested, kid (and parent!) approved! Now I'm on the hunt for more toddler friendly art supplies! Recommendations for the best markers, crayons, and/or colored pencils for a two year old are welcome :)
