Students are provided with an existing program that already has some starter code in place. All of the code is explained, and students add on to the program to complete the game. They create algorithms using underlying concepts such as variables, conditionals, loops, and functions. The PowerPoint includes 17 short embedded videos to better illustrate key points. The activity has been designed to take about an hour. The goal is for students to create something fairly advanced within a short time constraint. The lesson is fully editable.
