Are you looking for a fun way to teach map skills? Your class will create their own maps of an imaginary island after they've learned the basic map-making skills with terms like grid, compass rose, cardinal directions, and scale! Two mini-lessons are included on map-making basics: 1-Parts of Maps, and 2-Types of Maps before they create their own maps!
