Homemade - DIY Aroma Stones Ingredients: - 1/2 cup baking soda - 1/2 cup cornstarch - 1/4 cup warm water - 15–30 drops of your favorite essential oil (lavender, lemon, peppermint, eucalyptus, etc.) - Optional: natural coloring (mica powder or a drop of food coloring) - Silicone molds, cookie cutters, or ice cube trays - Mixing bowl & spoon - Parchment paper or drying tray Directions: 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda and cornstarch. Mix thoroughly until well combined. 2. Gradually add the warm water, mixing continuously with a spoon. The mixture should form a thick paste; if it's too dry, add a tiny bit more water; if it's too wet, add a little more baking soda/cornstarch mix. 3. Add your chosen essential oil(s). Start with the lower end of the drop range (15 drops) and add more to your liking, mixing well after each addition. The scent will be stronger once the stones are dry. 4. If using, add a few drops of natural coloring at this stage and mix until evenly distributed. Be mindful that food coloring might stain. 5. Gently spoon the mixture into your chosen molds, cookie cutters, or ice cube trays, ensuring to fill them about 3/4 full. 6. Let the aroma stones air dry completely. This can take anywhere from 6-24 hours, depending on the humidity and thickness of the stones. A dry, well-ventilated area is best. Alternatively, placing them on parchment paper speeds up drying time. 7. Once completely dry, carefully remove the aroma stones from the molds. 8. Enjoy the delightful scent! These stones can be placed in closets, drawers, bathrooms, or anywhere you want a pleasant fragrance boost.
