Identifying Text Structures This product contains 18 paragraphs for students to determine which text structure is being used. The following text structures are included: Cause and EffectCompare and Contrast Sequence/Chronological Order Problem and Solution Description A graphic organizer is also included with definitions of each text structure and signal words. The sequence and chronological order text structures are put together on the definition page since they are similar. The students can use these cards as task cards, or you can print them out as worksheets. If printed out as worksheets, you can have the students highlight the clues that helped them identify the text structure. They can be used in literacy groups, in small groups, as independent work, or in a discussion with partners. There is a recording sheet and answer key included.
