What The Ancient Greeks Thought About Astronomy - original antique illustration ~ circa 1940s published in Great Britian "This picture represents the system of Astronomy as it was conceived by the Ancient Greeks and Egyptians. Notice that near the centre of the diagram the four elements of the ancients - Earth, Water, Air and Fire - are indicated...." This unusual and beautiful image portrays how the ancient Greeks and the Egyptians saw the universe. The illustration includes The Heaven of the Firmament and the Abode of the Blessed as well as the Crystalline Primum and Mobile Heavens. The paper is in good condition.
