810 Extension table, farmhouse table, antique finish, extending table, harvest table, farm table with leaves, dining table, solid wood, sustainable Hello! You are looking at a large rustic hand-built dining table with two leaves. Closed, it's 8 feet long and seats 8, and open with both leaves it will seat 12 comfortably. We do artistic hand distressing and antique finishing, and can match the color of your choice. We will send you finish samples, so that you can choose your color in your own home and lighting. Happy to customize size, color and all other details. Regarding shipping: Shipping costs vary by zip code. We are based in Portland, Oregon, and will deliver within our own city free of charge. Please send us a conversation and include the size you want and your zip code, and we will have an exact shipping quote made. This will be blanket-wrapped, to your door. We have a small network of small shippers who specialize in moving furniture. An estimation of size is okay to get a shipping quote started, and can modify later. My husband Buck and I build everything in our Portland, Oregon studios. Nothing is imported. Custom sizes gladly. ***** Please note: there are none in stock and we make each piece "to order". Pictured here is a 40 x 96 table that seats 8 people when closed, and opens with two 18.5 inch leaves. This makes the total open length 10 feet - seating 12 comfortably, possibly squeezing 14. Sturdy steel Watertown table slides are completely hidden behind the apron and do not sag, even when extended. This table is made the old fashioned way - using machine tools of course, but the legs are each turned by hand on the lathe. The evidence of subtle and charming variations, typical of handmade goods, is apparent on close view of the piece. We have a unique way of building tabletops for center-opening extension tables, in which the main boards of the top run lengthwise, continuing through the leaves. Each opening is bordered by a perpendicular board, as you can see in the closeups. Most of our finishes are antique / rustic. This one is color #G3, which is a nice medium chocolate with peach or cherry undertones. Minor deliberate dings and scratches will blend in with whatever wear you add to it later on, and the penetrating, living finish simply does not accept stains. We would not put a hot pan directly on the surface - be sure to use a trivet under that. However for normal eating and drinking we assure you that you will not need coasters or placemats, and it will look beautiful for a very, very long time and is expected to last many lifetimes and to be passed on to future generations. Please call Suzanne at 503-816-5316. I am happy to help you figure out what is the best size, color, shape, etcetera. We look forward to working with designers and homeowners!!
