VENUS BODY CANDLE | SCENTED SOY WAX CANDLE See our full selection of body shapes, spiral & sculptural candles. Scented Container candles available too: https://www.etsy.com/shop/interludecandles Our female body candle is inspired by Venus, the Roman goddess of love, beauty, prosperity, fertility, and victory. The symbols of Venus were roses and myrtle, the scallop shell, doves, dolphins, pomegranates, pearls, mirrors, and girdles. Paintings of Venus were so popular in the classical era, that any unclothed female figure came to be called a ‘Venus’. Venus was also the mother of Cupid, the god of love. Because she was the goddess of love, Venus was very important to new brides. They made offerings to her before they got married. The planet Venus is also named after the goddess. It was visible in the ancient night sky at certain times of the year, and looked like a very bright star. Because it was so bright and beautiful, it was named Venus. Because Venus symbolises beauty and nice fragrances, we could only call our female bust candle by her name. The Venus candles are hand poured in London. We are only using Soy Wax and fragrance oils and natural dye. Each candle has a different colour and scent. We can also make custom orders based on your preferences. Please get in touch if you’d like to create your own Venus candle. Some of our body candles have colour imperfections, but that's because we like them looking like stone sculptures. The Venus candle dimensions are: Height: 9.5 cm Width: 4.5 cm We love how the Venus body candle looks and most of the times we are just keeping it for decor on our coffee table, next to our jewellery dish or near to our favourite book. All body candles are scented as well and they throw a subtle scent even without being burnt. If you’d like to burn your Venus candle, please note that burn time is approx 45 min. You should always place the candle on a dish or a tray when burning it. Candle Safety: • Never leave burning candles unattended. • Never go to sleep with a candle still burning, and never leave a burning candle or oil burner in a child’s bedroom. • Do not position candles or fragrance products on or near TV cabinets, electrical items or heat sources. • Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
