A star-shaped handmade rope wreath designed for both outdoor and indoors. Perfect for a front door Christmas wreath. Warmly welcome visitors all year round with my handmade star rope wreath that you can decorate to celebrate each changing season. Wreaths really aren’t just for Christmas. Throughout history, wreaths have been used to dress doors, fireplaces and walls and have been used to celebrate occasions all year long. Along with weddings and parties they are a great way to add decorative personality to your home. THE DETAILS - A handmade star shaped rope wreath - Made with jute rope attached to a metal frame with a useful hanging loop. - 35cm with an approximately 5cm hanging loop. The natural nature of the rope I use will mean there are a few minor variations to size but this is a good guide. - Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use the heart wreaths are made of hard-wearing rope that was traditionally used on sea-faring ships they are robust enough to withstand being outdoors and so last far longer than traditional floral wreaths. For more details see my rope care tips below. DECORATE EACH SEASON - My rope wreaths can either be left to be enjoyed as they are or they can be decorated and crafted by you to create a personalised, seasonal feel for a welcoming door all year round. ADD A GLASS TUBE FOR FRESH FLOWERS - You can also choose to add a glass boiling tube to your wreath order to easily attach and add fresh flowers and herbs to your wreaths and keep them looking fresh for longer. The tubes are around 15cm x 2.5xm with a glass rim to attach string. It's a really easy way to add a new look to your wreath. Simply select this option to order one with your wreath. HANDMADE BY ME - My Grandfather was a shipwright and passed a love of ropes and knots onto my uncle and father who encouraged me to seek out the skills of the past and learn how to tie knots and work ropes. This has led to me perfecting some knots and using them to make my unique rope wreaths which are available as hearts and traditional rings here on my Etsy shop. - As I hand make my wreaths to order so there may be a slight variation in your wreath due to the natural rope I use but I will get as close to the photograph as possible. CUSTOM ORDERS AND INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - I love bespoke orders so if you need a particular size making please message me as I'm happy to try to make whatever you need. - I will ship internationally - please message me for individual prices. DELIVERY AND RETURNS - Your wreath comes gift wrapped in tissue paper ready for gifting. - Due to my wreaths being individual handmade items please allow 14 days from ordering to delivery. Due to it being an organic and natural material, its colour, texture and fibre tightness may differ from rope to rope. - Rope wreaths will do best inside, but the majority of the rope wreaths which are on metal frame are designed to decorate external doors. The 15cm and 30cm circular rope wreaths are mounted on wooden frames and these are designed for indoor use only. - To keep your rope wreath looking good for as long a time as possible, it is best to place your wreath on a door that is not situated in a dark, damp position for long periods of time. This will results in the fibres not drying sufficiently after a wet day and may result in the growth of mould or the fibres starting to rot. Direct sunlight will also over a period of time cause a change in colour and texture of the rope fibres. - If choosing to dress your wreath, do not use anything heavy to attach to the wreath. Ribbons and light adornments work best and should ideally be attached towards the top of the wreath. - Over time due to the natural materials used, the fibres of the ropes may begin to slacken, this is more the case in the very thick ropes. The wreaths can be reshaped by gently squeezing them back into shape or it may be necessary to retighten the strings that secure the rope to the frame. - Please note that due to the natural nature of the product that when working with ropes the large circular wreaths are approximately circular in nature and will not be perfect circles. Over time the weight of the larger ropes can pull the ropes downward slightly, resulting in an oval appearance. This can be corrected again by a gentle adjustment by hand or retightening the attachment strings that secure the rope to the frame.
