Using scrap copper & metal from my artwork, I design recycled jewelry. To make necklace I use patina copper layered over copper with copper wire. All of my pieces are handmade copper jewelry. I use wire, pipe & copper pieces - almost anything I can find from the recycle bins. All of the patina jewelry & copper is done by hand. I have several “recipes” I use to create different variations of patina. Since each of my pieces are one of a kind, there may slight variations in each piece. The very nature of handmade guarantees that no two pieces are every exactly alike. My creations include earring, necklaces, rings and cuffs. There is something in this series that reminded me of an Autumn day riding horses in the mountains. I can't quit put my finger on it... Cool flowing stream, warm browns, blue shadows...it is a long way from where I live now. I love this combination of browns, capri blue, steel blue, bronze, and copper. The beads are small, 3x5mm in size. These are just shy of 2 inches in length. They are also available with copper earwire. The copper would be a closed, (lever-back) earwire.
