Try this no sew wallet with HTV pattern and make a wallet fast with fabric and iron on vinyl.

I was so pleased with the result from my Fabric Origami Card Holder that I decided to try something a little bolder today. Most paper wallets you see cannot be considered origami, because they use scissors. The true origami art does not use scissors or glue, just creases. So, I found this really nice design online of a true origami wallet and I decided to try it with fabric! This makes a nice thick wallet, with plenty of space for your cards and bills. This pattern can be tricky, so I advise you to first make it on paper. I will try my best to explain each step very clearly, but if pictures aren't enough, you can find a great video tutorial here (though with tyvek paper). I stiffened a 15.5" x 13” piece of fabric (see related post for instructions) and started the folding! I think the fabric I used was either a bit too thick or I didn’t stiffen it enough. Nevertheless, the result was still beautiful! (1) Start with the wrong side of your fabric facing up. Fold your fabric in half, parallel to the 13" sides. (2) Open it again and fold the two 13" sides towards the middle crease you just created. (3) Open the fabric once again and turn it, so that the right side will be facing up. Then, fold two corners of one of the 15.5" sides to meet at the middle crease, forming two big triangles. We will call this side A. (4) Open the fabric again, this time with the wrong side facing up. Still working on side A, fold a crease perpendicular to the other three creases, meeting the top corner of the creases created by the triangle. (5) Open the fabric again and fold a small triangle on both corners of side A. (6) Fold back the crease you created in step 4. (7) Use the existing creases to collapse each of these two sides, forming pockets. (8) Using a bill as reference for the size, fold side A up. (9) Flip it and fold the other side of the fabric - let's call it side B. Then, fold the edge of side B using a credit card as a reference for size. (10) Open the whole fabric once again, and with the wrong side facing up, make two 45 degree triangles on the corners of side B. (11) Fold the edge crease you made in step 10, but this time to the opposite side (i.e. against the crease). (12) Fold all the creases back together. (13) Take B and tuck it into the pockets of side A. (14) Lastly, to give it a nice finish, tuck the corners of side B into the inner triangles of side A. (15) Use an iron to help set the creases and let it cool. Your very own handmade wallet is ready to be filled up! To make it more secure, I added a closing device with an elastic band and a button. I opened a small whole on the back and hand-sewed it with one thread of red embroidery yarn. On the front side of the wallet, I sewed a big blue button (I had to re-open the folds to be able to sew the button, but it was very easy to close them again). Lastly, I passed the elastic band through the back hole and finished it with a little knot. A maioria das carteiras de papel que se vê por ai não podem ser consideradas origami, porque para fazê-las se utilza tesoura. A verdadeira arte de origami não usa tesoura nem cola, apenas dobraduras. Passeando pela internet, eu achei essa excelente dobradura de uma legítima carteira de origami e então eu resolvi tentá-la em tecido! Essa dobradura resulta em uma linda carteira, com bastante espaço para cartões e notas. Como essa é uma dobradura mais complicada, eu aconselho testar primeiro em papel. Vou fazer o possível para explicar cada passo de forma clara, mas se as fotos não forem suficientes, assista esse vídeo que utilizei como tutorial (embora nele a dobradura é feita em papel). Vamos lá! Engome um pedaço de tecido medindo 40 x 33 cm (ver post relacionado para instruções sobre engomar) e comece a dobrar! Eu acho que não engomei o meu tecido suficientemente, mas mesmo assim o resultado final ficou ótimo! (1) Comece com o lado avesso de seu tecido voltado para cima. Dobre o tecido ao meio, paralelamente aos lados de 33cm. (2) Abra o tecido e dobre os dois lados de 33cm em direção à dobra no centro. (3) Abra o tecido novamente e vire-o para que o lado direito fique voltado para cima. Então, dobre os dois cantos de um dos lados que mede 40cm, utilizando a linha central perperdicular como referência e formando um triângulo. Vamos chamar esse lado de lado A. (4) Abra o tecido novamente, mas dessa vez com o lado avesso para cima. Ainda trabalhando no lado A (40cm), dobre uma linha perpendicular às outras 3 linhas já existentes, usando como referência o topo das dobras criadas pelos triângulos. (5) Abra o tecido mais uma vez. Agora dobre dois pequenos triângulos nos cantos do lado A. (6) Volte a dobrar o tecido utilizando a linha criada no passo 4. (7) Use as linhas existentes para dobrar cada um dos dois lados, formando bolsos. Como mostra a foto abaixo. (8) Utilizando uma nota como referência de tamanho, dobre o lado A para cima, como mostra a foto. (9) Vire o origami e dobre o outro lado do tecido - vamos chamar de lado B. Então, dobre a borda do lado B, utilizando um cartão de crédito como referência de tamanho. (10) Abra o tecido mais uma vez, completamente e com o lado avesso para cima. Agora faça dois triângulos de 45 graus nos cantos do lado B. (11) Re-dobre a borda que você fez no passo 10, mas dessa vez para o lado contrário, ou seja, na direção oposta à marca anterior. (12) Re-dobre o origami utilizando todas as linhas existentes. (13) Insira o lado B dentro do "bolso" do lado A. (14) Por fim, para dar um acabamento, insira os cantos do lado B dentro dos pequenos triângulos que se formaram dentro do lado A. (15) Utilize um ferro de passar para ajudar a definir os vincos e deixe esfriar. Sua carteira feito à mão esta pronta para ser enchida de fortuna! Para tornar a carteira mais segura, eu adicionei um fecho com um elástico e um botão. Simplesmente, fiz um pequeno furo na parte de trás da carteira e costurei à mão com uma linha de bordado vermelha. Na parte da frente da carteira, eu costurei um botão azul bem grande (eu tive que re-abrir algumas dobras para conseguir costurar o botão, mas foi muito fácil fechá-las novamente). Por fim, passei o elástico pelo furo e fiz um pequeno nó interno.
