Included is two puzzle versions. Students will be cutting out puzzle pieces and place them according to their type of sequence. Puzzle pieces include descriptions, a table, and a graph for arithmetic and geometric sequences. The first version takes a little more time to cut out the puzzle pieces. The second version is used if you have limited time (easier to cut puzzle pieces). Also, students will be coming up with their own arithmetic and geometric sequence.

Geometric Sequences Puzzle Students will practice finding the common ratio or certain terms of a geometric sequence given characteristics of the sequence with this puzzle activity. Characteristics given include the first four terms, two random terms, first term and the common ratio, or random term and the common ratio. Students use the information about an geometric sequence given in the center of the square to find two other characteristics along the edges. Then, they cut out the squares and rearrange so the edges meet with corresponding answers and paste them onto a template. A template to paste the solution and answer key included. The box letters make it easy for students to organize their work AND make it easier to grade! This activity works very well in conjunction with my Pre-Calculus Sequences and Series Unit.
