Treat your special graduate with a personalized custom graduation lei on their big day. They have worked hard and deserve celebrating! *** If you order a PLAIN lei and add a name, the name will NOT be added. If you want the name on the lei, choose "LEI+CUT OUT" from the pull down menu. I add this info, because so many people have done this. *** 5 NEW colors now in stock! Baby blue (see Matthew photo), hunter green (see Ariel photo), baby pink, aqua, and teal. Choose ribbon colors. (See photos for color choices of ribbon & glitter paper for cut outs.) They can be matched with school colors, or they can be any colors in stock that you desire. Choose from 3 colors of beads. See photos for color choices. All "leis + cut outs" come with a name and the current graduation year as seen in photos. Please specify if you need a graduation year other than the current year. LEIS ARE APPROXIMATELY 5 FEET LONG. If the graduate is tall, message me and we can discuss an appropriate length. If you need a shorter length, such as for a kindergartener or a 5th grader, measure one hip, around the neck down to the other hip. Add that measurement to the personalization section and a note that it needs to be shortened. I am happy to answer any questions to help you get the lei you need for your graduate. Name cut outs are approximately 1.8" tall (not including the lower "dip" in the "y" or "g", etc) and 6" long. The graduation year cap is approximately 3.3" x 4.4". Short names like Ty or Jo will not be as long. Stretching to 6" long will make the 2 letter word very distorted. Long names like Savannah or Johnathan might be longer than 6". "Squishing" them makes them distorted as well. I do my best to choose a length that will look good on the lei. Message me for questions on this. TIPS on choosing colors: When choosing colors for cut outs, I highly recommend choosing a third overall color for the top or bottom layer of the cut out. When choosing only two colors for the entire lei, sometimes the names can get visually lost. For example, if choosing red and black for the ribbon colors and red and black for the cut outs, the eye has trouble landing on the words. If, however, you decide to use red and black ribbon colors, you may want to choose silver for the bottom and black for the top layer, or vice versa. The silver breaks up the monotony of the red and black and makes the name stand out. (See photos.) Colors that are great for breaking up the colors are white, silver, and gold. This only seems to be an issue for bold colors paired with black. Other color combos that don't stand out that I have noticed are: purple/black & baby pink/silver. If you have questions about choosing colors, please send me a message. I am happy to help.
