Hello and welcome to the Honey Bee Stamps Holiday Cheer Inspiration Blog Hop! There are several stops on the hop with designers featuring projects using the new and so awesome Holiday Cheer release. There is a HUGE prize for commenters!! Honey Bee Stamps will be giving one commenter a $100 gift card to shop at their site!! WOOHOO! You should have arrived here from so amazing Brenda Noelke's blog. Keep reading to get to the full hop list at the end and be sure to visit each stop along the way and leave your comments! My card features the beautiful Happy Hanukkah stamps and Honey Cuts. (Click on the product links to check them out!) I created a 5" x 7" card base and layered the Plaid A7 Layering Cover Plate Top and Base Honey Cuts on top. I die cut these from 80# Neenah Solar White card stock. Next I stamped the images in Copic safe ink and colored them with my Copic markers. Then I die cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment in some blue ink, and while it was still in my MISTI, I stamped some Versamark clear ink onto it. I sprinkled on some clear embossing powder, heat set it, and die cut it with the coordinating die. Next I die cut a piece of vellum with the next to largest A7 Double Stitched Frames and adhered the images and sentiment to it. I added dots of liquid glue to the vellum only behind the images and adhered it to my card. I added a few Crystal Clear Hearts for a bit of shine! Always need a bit of sparkle and shine!!! Thank you for stopping by and be sure to leave a comment here for your chance to win that $100 gift card! The winners will be announced on Sunday, November 8 on Honey Bee Stamps blog. Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started. I am really loving the new Cornflower card stock and ink that was released this month—it is a gorgeous mid blue that I though would be perfect for a Hanukkah card. So, I started with a Stone Gray card stock base, then added a piece of Ranger watercolor paper on which I stamped Star Celebration Background with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and then did a watercolor wash with Cornflower dye ink. I popped that up on foam mounting tape, and following the sketch, added a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock. The next element is more Stone Gray card stock, stamped with Garden Flourish Background and Versamark to give it a very subtle look. Next I cut Hanukkah Love and Light Die-namics menorah from Cornflower card stock and the candles from Sweet Tooth card stock, coloring the flames with Copic markers. The Star of David was cut from Silver Sparkle card stock and both were popped up on foam. The sentiment is from Happy Hanukkah and was stamped on Translucent Vellum with Versamark and also heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. I was able to hide the glue behind the sentiment and the small silver glitter enamel dots that I added to finish it off. And there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
