You can always spot one of Brandin's (Webster's Pages owner/designer) collections at a glance, they are always full of lovely feminine design elements: gorgeous flowers, flourishes, damask patterning and beautiful color palettes. For me the pinks and golds in the 'Christmas Story' collection are a total favourite! For this page I scrapped a photo I came across of my youngest daughter Meagan when I was shuffling through some older photos from a few years back. I did a bit of inking with one of my favourite ink pads, the Tim Holtz 'Victorian Velvet' distress ink pad as well as adding a little texture with the 'Damask' 6x6 stencil from Crafters Workshop. I've always loved the beautiful cameo's (Perfect Accents) from Websters Pages and now I'm so happy to see that they put out some gorgeous metal trinkets and frames that work beautifully with the cameos, they just click right in! Didn't even have to glue it. Another fun little metal trinket is this one from the Christmas Story collection. There are so many cool things you can do with this one. It's hard to see in the photo above but IRL there is a lovely glossy effect on the center piece of the trinket. The photo above better shows the jewel-like glossy effect I was able to achieve in two easy steps. See below for 2 easy steps to making your own unique trinket. There are so many ways to make your own trinket design to compliment your page design....try cutting out a section of patterned paper, glue in place and cover in Glossy Accents....or put in a coat of glossy accents and fill with a variety of glass beads....the options are endless! I also added a few accents to the page with some Dusty Attic chipboard, Baroque Corners is one of my all-time favourite chippies, it's one of those accents that fit in anywhere and add a touch of elegance to a page. I also used one of the Elegant Frames to frame my title. NOTE: If you are looking for a great shop to purchase Dusty Attic Chippies in North America (USA & Canada), my friend Vicky Alberto is have a 20% off sale on all purchases over $25.00 from now until December 1st. I noticed she has a lot of the newest DA chippies in as well! You can find her Estsy shop here ~~> Simply Paper & Embellishments And last but certainly not least, I have to tell you about these cute lil natural floral accents I got from Lucy at Tresors de Luxe Etsy shop!! I got hit hard with the flu yesterday while working on this page and I wanted no more than to just crawl into bed and rest! So I had to work quickly to get this page done. I grabbed a couple of loose blooms I had in my stash and then took one of Lucy's natural floral accents and was quickly able to put together a nice floral cluster. No fussing about with tying twine, bundling blooms or wire accents....all I had to do was glue it down. If you haven't seen her etsy shop you are in for a treat, her shop is just packed with gorgeous laces, doiles, blooms and floral sprays! Well, that's my post for today....I'm off to get me a little bit of rest, hope this flu doesn't stick to long. Thanks everyone for stopping by today! xo
Back in 2009 I made a journal documenting a recent trip to New York City and posted it on my old blog. It's made its rounds on Pinterest which was super exciting and encouraging. (Thank you everyone!!) However, the extra views caused the photos to stop showing up due to...

It's no secret that I love my Magpie Club! I wanted to share my projects created from the August Bits and Bobs kit. Now the August kit is sold out but it will give you an idea of the amazing products that you will receive each month. Tara is so generous with her kits and it's filled to the brim with little bits that you won't find anywhere else. I love that part! The August kit was all about travel and maps and faraway places. Since I don't really travel, I had to think of a different spin to use all the wonderful pieces of the kit! First I created a layout about me and my hubby: Just look at those wonderful maps and little airmail envelopes, cards and more! So yummy! I had so much product left over after my layout, I decided I had to do something more because a layout wasn't going to use up that wonderful stuff! So I decided to create a mini-album. Again, I'm not a world traveler so I had to think of something else. I decided to create a mini about all the wonderful places hubby and I dream of visiting! It was so much fun and I have to say, putting it down on paper made me realize how we need to work even harder towards those goals and it made me want it even more! So here's my mini: I love how it turned out! The kit was amazing! This mini was created using mostly the Bits and Bobs kit, with the exception of alphas, transparency and some tags. I loved everything in the kit and am so thankful that I get to play with it each month! August kit may be gone, but you can watch for the September kit being posted at Magpie Club in just the next few days!
Hello CSM scrapbookers! Kim here, thanks for dropping by the blog to see what I have been up to! Last September; my hubby and I went to Scotland for a wonderful, two-week holiday. I am still in the process of culling through pictures and scrapbooking some of our adventures. The layout I am sharing today
Zamarzył mi się zeszyt ćwiczeń, miejsce do eksperymentów i zabawy. To było moje mocne postanowienie na sezon wakacyjny - faktycznie, kazało mi ono zrobić surowy zeszycik. Następnej nocy powstały pierwsze dwie kartki, inspirowane wyzwaniem Crusade 41 z bloga Michelle Ward - GPP Street Team - zadaniem było użycie skrawków z craftowego stołu... mam takowych dużo. Chyba idea zadziałała, bo już mi się w głowie kłębią kolejne pomysły i rosną jak dobrze podlewane chwasty :) My strong holiday season resolution was to start my own journal - a place to experiment, learn new things and have fun. I made the journal blank and last night I made my first pages - inspired by Michelle Ward's Crusade 41 on GPP street Team blog. The idea was to make a grid - using scraps and odder rubbish from your crafting table...well, my table is a huge mess :) I think I'm hooked - I've got new ideas growing in my mind like a sugarbush in the rain season :) duże zdjęcie - big photo Tutaj kilka detali - dla zainteresowanych ;) - here are some details for interested visitors;) Pozdrawiam wakacyjnie :) Big hugs to you all - have a great holiday season!

Hi All, I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter Bank Holiday! this long weekend, I have had a chance to play with my stash, and ...
This morning I am off for a two week holiday to France. Call me crazy but I have packed two big boxes and a back pack full of art and craft stuff. After all you can't go for walks, visit quaint little towns, eat amazing meals and read novels all of the time can you now....? Apparently the little gite we have rented has got Wifi, so I will be able to come and visit some of my favourite blogs, and who know, maybe I'll post some stuff myself too. I leave you will a little collage sheet. I have printed it myself on tissue paper again (on how to do that, see post below) and plan to use it in a journal while away,. who knows.... The little images are from Magic Moonlight and the background was made with digital stamps I created from various ephemera, mostly from the Graphics Fairy Many thanks to both!!
