This weekend my Flowerbug's Team met for our monthly gathering and swap. Our theme was masculine cards and wow, did they get creative. I'll be sharing them all week long! Note that each of these animals are stamped in just one color. There's no need to color them in; let the beautiful images be the star! This first card is made by Kim; she used the Wildlife Wonder stamp set from the 2022 Annual Catalog by Stampin' Up! The unique...

To make the waistcoat card you first need to print the template on a piece of A4 cardstock as shown and cut out each of the elements - please note that the full waistcoat front is a single unit, do not cut on the line that shows the overlap. This is designed to exactly fit a piece of A5 cardstock folded in half (this is the colour of the shirt) if you do not use A5 cardstock the measurements are 5 13/16" x8 1/4" With this in mind, cut out each of the elements. The template in PDF form is here, ensure that you have scaling set to none and that the printer is printing in landscape mode. Do not use the image below for printing, it is just a picture of what you will get. This is what you should have when you have cut all the elements out: On the shirt template there is a + between the collar pieces, using a piercing tool pierce the centre. Fold your piece of A5 Cardstock in half (this is your shirt), place the shirt template on the front of the card and secure with clips, carefully cut away the top of the card using the template as a guide, using a pencil through the hole mark the centre point on the collar. Open up and trim the collar off the back of the card. Fold the top points of the collar down to the pencil mark and score the fold, the shirt should now look like this: Next you need to trace the complete waistcoat, the hexagon and the tie bottom onto your chosen Designer Papers, sponge all the edges in a co-ordinating ink and add pen stitching using a Stampin' Write Marker, you should end up with this: Now take the half waistcoat template and use it to draw in the overlap and as a mask to sponge some colour onto the overlap, add pen stitching. Using the template from the mat pack and the 1/8" holes work out the placement for your buttons and use the template to draw the button circles onto the waistcoat, it should now look like this: Using a Cropodile punch 3 3/8" circles from co-ordinating cardstock adhere over the circles you have drawn and add buttonholes using a Stampin' Write marker, it should now look like this: Now it is time to assemble the card. Place a Stampin' Dimentional on the back of the hexagon and adhere under the collar just covering the pencil mark you made earlier on the shirt, add the body of the tie, sliding it under the hexagon and centering it down the front of the card. Adhere the waistcoat body over the top of the tie. To finish off place a dimentional on each half of the collar and fold over the tie, you should now have something that looks like this: I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, believe it or not it has taken me all weekend to put it together! This tutorial is my gift to you as a fellow cardmaker, however, if you teach classes or sell your cards using this please consider using the tip jar on the template page to help motivate me to write more. I will even e-mail you a PDF file of this tutorial if you do :-) Have a great day Lynette
My husband has countless Hawaiian shirts, so this new kit from Svgcuts.com came at a great time! We call him the Big Kahuna! If you like this shirt check out the kit called Summer Holiday. Kids can make this fun kilt card for a Scottish friend's birthday, or perhaps for St Andrew's Day! We've written the message on a sporran on the front of the card, which is really effective!
Father's Day is the theme of Card Makin' Mamas Challenge this week and "For a Special Guy" is the theme at Sentimental Sundays. I decided to make a card with a vest template I got when I purchased this neat fishing stamp set from Raisin Boat. I sponged the vest and pieces with Frayed Burlap distress ink, doodled a little, and punched an extra fish inside with a McGill punch. Stamping smiles, Karen

Hello, Stampers, Today it's a No Tie day! That is right I have the Men Sports Jacket without a tie for a card. This is more simple then you think. I bet many men that work where that everyday
Another of my favorite Christmas cards was this fun record player: Isn't it just the cutest??? I would love to take credit for using the die-cut pieces from My Favorite Things' Turntable dies to create this fun fold card--complete with a pocket/sleeve to hold a second "vinyl" record, but this project was CASE'd from Stephanie Klauck, whose tutorial can be viewed HERE. I made several of these cards. They were all made pretty much the same with ever so slight changes to some. There wasn't a good space for writing a message or signing the card, so I used the space on the back of the spare record (in the sleeve/pocket) for this purpose. The outside of the card was kept very simple. You can't tell from the photo, but a Wink of Stella clear glitter brush was used to outline the snowman and the snowy lines on the ground.

Good morning and a very Happy Bank Holiday Monday to you. I hope it is sunny wherever you are. It looks to be a lovely day outside here on the Isle of Wight. We have had a busy weekend full of Birthday celebrations. Friday was my Dad's Birthday and we celebrated with a fun evening of family and chocolate & coffee cake (it was delightful!). I wanted to share with you the origami shirt card I made for him. My Dad loves shirts with fish all over them so I decided to have a go at recreating one of his shirts using the By The Tide stamp set. I used this Youtube video to make my base shirt shape (using Pistachio Pudding cardstock). I changed the measurements slightly by using a whole sheet of UK sized A4. I simply followed the same steps as shown in the video. Once I had the folds sorted I then stamped the By The Tide fish in Garden Green. I hand cut the little pocket and daubered the edges to define the shape (I also added a bit of stitching detail by using my paper piercing tool to make little holes around the edge of the pocket). I finished with Neutrals Buttons (I had to use one extra to cover a slight stamping blip!). The inside of the folded card looks like this. I used the Age Awareness birthday sentiment to stamp the inside. To go with this card I created this stack of gift boxes using my Gift Box Punch Board. I created a large, medium and small box from Kraft cardstock which I then covered with Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper. Each box was filled with one of my Dads favourite treats. I tied the whole stack together with a length of ribbon from my stash. And my Dad's main gift was this wood burnt chopping board. This was my first attempt at using my pyrography tool and I learned a lot about the type of wood that would work best for this kind of intricate design (this wood was very hard and the grain made it very difficult to get a smooth line). But I was still really pleased with it all the same ;0) So a big thank you for popping by today. I hope you have had a fantastic bank holiday weekend. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help.
