This small home is located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Saint Gilles in Brussels. The house was in a derelict state and needed to be fully renovated. One of the main challenges of the project is its proximity to the historical government house. As this is a listed property, all adjoining homes have to scrupulously respect an “aesthetic modesty”… The clients, a young couple, wanted to fully refurbish the property in a contemporary manner, restructuring all the spaces and adding an important extension on the back of the house.
