Importing cars from the Japanese Domestic Market is a great way to drive a vehicle that none of your friends drive -- but proper planning is important.

A real rarity!! Only available to the Japanese domestic market for a few months in early 1974, this rare SE-550 had come out of hiding. The neck profile is a full C, unlike the later and better-known JVs, and the pick-ups are pure Maxon β bright and airy and drive a valve amp perfectly well despite their fairly low output. The original 3-way switch remains and has had sufficient use to allow us to find those in-between settings. A 42mm nut, a 9.5" radius and capable of remarkably low and slick action, this is a great prospect for any style; and its acoustic ring will have you losing hours with it unplugged too. The grain on this pancake body construction is beautiful β the very high quality finish is almost unmarked and even the bridge cover and tremolo arm are present and correct. It's another one for your Hendrix and SRV repertoire - Hendrix and SRV cut their teeth on Goya guitars in USA - Goyas were export Grecos and this model is premium version of the ones they played, but importantly the exact same pick-ups.This one comes with its original case and tool roll too - it's rarity and condition mean we'd rather not take offers on this one - we have plenty of SE-500s in Natural finish that can be haggled over - this is a very very rare chance to get a 550, let alone in this condition. It's set up with a fresh set of D'Ad XL 010-046 and all the love we have. The price of shipping abroad fluctuates a lot these days. Please contact us to get a precise shipping cost to your country.
