Up for sale is one pack of 100 of Rocket Mixed Color Snapdragon Flower Seeds. This is a custom blend of the Rocket Snapdragon colors we sell - Bronze, Red, Pink, Rose and White. These create large azalea type flowers on tall 36" stems. Very long lasting as a cut flower in the vase. PLEASE NOTE: Snapdragon’s are a cool weather flower and need an extended period of cooler weather to set their roots. Snapdragon will not germinate in warm late spring or summer weather. We offer flat rate combined shipping on all orders, no limit on the amount or type of seed packets. CULTURE Soil temperature: 60 degrees fahrenheit Germination lighting: Light Depth: 1/8" Germination days: 10 days Plant spread: 8" Plant height: 36'' Plant type: Annual Maturation days: 90 days Rocket Snapdragons are a hybrid snapdragon bred for cut flower growers. You can direct seed these but they are very slow growing in the garden and tend to get overwhelmed by other weeds and flowers. For zones 7-9 it's also best to follow the directions below and start them early so they get established before your summer heat arrives. For zones 3-10 we find they are best seeded in trays about 12 weeks before your last frost in the spring. Seedlings will take a light freeze and here in zone 7 we generally put them out in our garden in late February or early March as they like cold weather to set their roots. They prefer very rich soil and flourish with moist soil conditions. The seeds require light for germination so when we start them in trays we sow them on the surface of our potting material and then cover them very lightly with sand or vermiculite. They are quick to germinate but slow to grow. In zone 7 they do not have a lot of growth until May and then flower from June to July. Once in the garden, and about 6" tall, you can pinch the center stalk to force the plant to create more blooms. These side blooms won't be as tall as the center stalk but you will generate more flowers.
