A stunning 26-piece Lenox china set of 12 Lenox dinner plates in pale pink is offered. They measure 101/2 inches in diameter and feature gilded scalloped rims. HISTORY: Walter Scott Lenox founded his company in Trenton, New Jersey 1889. His idea was to establish an art studio, not a china factory. However, Lenox's Ceramic Art Company swiftly built an excellent reputation. By 1897, examples of Lenox's work were included in the collection of China at the Smithsonian Institution. Service china plates were introduced in 1902, and soon after came complete dinner sets. By 1910, the company was producing patterns with transfer prints. Walter Scott Lenox died in 1920. CONDITION: These plates have a classic, timeless quality that will endure. The plates appear to be in unused condition. I found no notable issues that require noting. Other than that, they are not new. Please hand wash for the best care. UPS will professionally pack and ship. Thank you for shopping with Style Junkie Antiques.
