Willow Tit (Parus montanus) *From arhives. 14.4.2008, Tornio. A very local bird, mostly young do some migration in the autumns, but most stay in the place that they once choose. Last winter after moving to our new house I started to ring birds from our homeyard. I did catch 22 Willow Tits from autumn to spring. This winter I`ve controlled 4 birds from last winter. Still more to come, because winter has been very mild and just few birds have visited our feeding. Anyvay Willow Tits are much more local than for example Great Tits or Blue Tits.
