Old books in Michael Moon’s Bookshop, Whitehaven.
As long as humanity has had beliefs in a higher power, the use of magic, spells, curses, and incantations have featured widely across cultures. A number of influential texts or ‘grimoires’ (textbooks of magic) were developed over the centuries, many of which became the books of choice for secret societies and occult organizations that endured well into the twentieth century.

I absolutely adore old timeworn French books. I love them piled high on a shelf or table. Gorgeous tied with a ribbon or old hemp string. But then.................I also adore them like this............. I have found this tutorial on "youtube" that explains how to make one......here is the link. ( press on arrow to start). For years I have walked past the batches at brocantes as I thought they were not " full books". What was I thinking? I have a huge pile from an attic clearance and I now I realise what I have been missing!! Now then..................have you seen my glue? A demain mes belles!! xx
