Most OSB are water-resistant. Because of their development cycle utilizing wood strands, saps and wax they come decently water-resistant.
If you're painting OSB sheathing, de-gloss the wax coating with trisodium phosphate first. Apply an oil-based primer and then you can top coat with oil- or water-based paint.
